I dont know how many youre actually allowed but 26 seemed like enough

Notable absences are mostly just age concerns for me (Stone, Giroux, Pietrangelo etc.) All fantastic players but it's hard to know how and when the age curve starts to affect them.

Surprise inclusions: Added guys like Foerster and Cirelli because I think Canada's best shot at beating the US comes down to having some high end defensive guys they can matchup against the americans offense. They won't be able to out offense them, but there are enough defensive and two way guys here that they could still compete and win.

Pairings and lines are mostly just what I think would be interesting, by no means a characterization of their talent levels (wouldnt surprise me at all if bedard was their 2C)

Goaltending: I uhhh....really hope this Levi dude pans out. This was the worst part of making this lol.

He'll be 36. I could see him as an extra but that seems like a long shot. It's a tough sell to suggest that 36 year old pietrangelo will be better than any of these 8 guys here.
