What's the overall beside their name mean?
BC Rielly should be much higher IMO... And I'd have Matthews top 3 and prob not 3 but that's my opinion
this is a huge list though
the grading system is far from perfect but this is how i tried to do it:
Key (Forward Overall Grading):
100-Great One
95-Franchise Player
90-Multiple Time All-Star
85-Top Line
82.5-Solid Middle Six
80-Just in Middle Six
77.5-Just in NHL
75-Should Not Be in NHL
Key (Defenseman Overall Grading):
95-Elite Number One Defenseman
90-Multiple Time All-Star
85-Solid Second Defenseman
82.5-Good Second Pair
80-Great Third Pair
77.5-Just in NHL
75-Should Not Be in NHL
Key (Goaltender Overall Grading):
95-Upper Echelon
90-Elite Starter
87.5-Can Steal Wins
85-Strong Starter
82.5-Strong 1A in a Tandem
80-Strong 1B in a Tandem
77.5-Probably Getting Replaced
Rielly's rating to me is good imo. Right between multiple time all star and elite number one defenseman (meant for like 10+ years). I could see him moving up to where he is 7th or so for LHD, too. He is still an above average #1 defenseman tho
And top of the league is so hard. rn i think Mackinnon-McDavid are without a doubt top 2. Then #3 is hard. I hate comparing defenseman to forwards and Kucherov is playing out of his mind rn. But they are interchangable. Having Matthews #5 makes me sick, but if i had Makar or Kuch there id feel the same way. They are all 3A,B,C imo
