That is a waste of picks if you are a NYR fan. Getting Tarasenko does nothing for this team in sense of increasing Cup chances.

Rangers need someone to play RW with Mika and Kreider, these guys cant get anything going 5v5. We know from last year that Tarasenko meshed very well with them. He was very productive with them at EV last year, and has been solid this year at 5v5. Kakko gets moved to the 3rd line where he probably belongs.

The Sens score more goals than the Rangers. Our issues are poor coaching, defence, and goaltending.
NYR have been solid defensively but could use some point scoring (2nd in GF in their division). There are only 4 Rangers forwards with more points than Tarasenko right now.
Furthermore, RW is the biggest area of need for NYR. This gives you options to balance your lineup and push guys down for better depth.

It is very simple. Tarasenko needs to produce at Panarin level to be a positive impact. And he isn't. End of discussion. OTT took a step back this year with him on the team. NYR sucked last post season. So sad NYR fans don't see it? Big names doesn't equal big result.

Same problem NYR has so what is your point. Last 26 games NYR is OTT. Tarasenko does nothing to improve center depth, defence or physicality.

Center depth is a completely different issue that would get addressed one way or another.

The Rangers lost last year because Lindy Ruff made adjustments after going down 2-0, Gallant didnt. He stood there, smirked at reporters, said everything was ok when it wasnt and lost the locker room at the worst possible time. Furthermore, the Rangers bought into the notion that Kane "wasnt hurt" and put a player out there with a bum hip.

The Rangers dont need Tarasenko to score at the level of Panarin, we already have a Panarin, just need a consistent skilled player alongside Mika and Kreider.

Adjustments Adjustments I'm so sick of hearing about the so called Adjustments. We had all star team last year. That was the problem.

I wouldn't mind a cheap 3 C and some more physicality. But that is most I'll do.

NSH declines. Chychrun would be a potential target for NSH on the right side, but this is way rich. Tomasino is likely part of NSH's rebuild/retool and NSH shouldn't be trading their 1st for this year imo. I like the idea though and I wouldn't be opposed to NSH going after Chychrun
