Big NO GO here. Another player who is signed to big money through 35 years of age is not something the wings need. They need Defense. You don't address that issue at all here. You just add another long term, high dollar contract.

This is a horrible trade for Det. Don't cut salary, don't upgrade the roster, just lose assets for nothing.

Voracek is only signed through his 34 year season. He's had 20+ goals in each of the last 4 seasons and doesn't look to be slowing down any time soon. He's only a year older than Tatar. Would be a good 1 or 2 line winger for 4+ years and still have scoring and leadership after that as a 3rd line winger.
