We are in the process of changing this roster significantly & we must be prepared for the future even at a cost of the guy that mattered the most. . . Sorry cap

This might be the last chance we have at going on a run for a while Stamkos might leave in free agency & breisbois has said publicly that he won't trade stammer he is a rock in this teams foundation the basis of this franchise's principles we have to make it count for the cap!
The lightning will likely target a 3C at the deadline since the top 6 of stammer point kuch (goat) cirelli hagel paul is pretty locked in at minimum & interchangeable with eachother at maximum. The depth has improved their play of recently even with losses of sergachev & jeannot this team has next man up mentality very impressive! Calling up lilleberg & crozier has made a world of difference on the back end they are hungry especially lilleberg he'll be a beast if they make the playoffs. Kucherov seems like he would drag this team to the playoffs kicking & screaming by his own will power he is the best winger & I would feel empty if his efforts were for nothing

Not only has Brisebois said publicly Stamkos won't be traded ,Stamkos has on multiple occasions publicly stated he'll be in Tampa At Least through the end of his contract once on "The Block Party" he said and I'll quote 'I can't say what will happen after my contract expires however,I can guarantee I will be here until then."

I still think Tampa is the most dangerous team who could enter the playoffs.

They still have that elite core who've won Cups.

I don't think they have the quality depth to win 4 rounds of playoff hockey.

But who knows?

Vasi can steal a series.

Ducherov is playing at such a high level.

I said this a few days ago.

Tampa is this BIG, beautiful house sitting on top of the hill.

From a distance people marvel at it.

But as you get closer you see the cracks on the wall. The leaky roof.

You open the door and there's no furniture. Just a covered up sofa and an antique piano collecting dust.

I think the contention window for this team is longer than most people think. There are a lot of great prospects in the system who will get time soon and hopefully recreate our 2015 run. As for this season in particular its kind of a weird dilemma because its hard to see this team winning a cup but if we were to go for it I would want us playing guys like groshev goncalves and thompson who can make an impact now. This team has what it needs to be a contender they just need to look from within. The players they would be looking at near TDL would not be better than the prospects in the system now. Also this is a hot take but I think the team is better off without jeannot and sergachev so I expect is to regress when they come back
