No I don't think I did, you think because it was a mistake that means someone's going to take that contract? OP is saying it was a mistake, it's not gonna work, therefore rebuild through this post.

They didn't sign Karlsson though - otherwise you might have an argument. They traded for him - a move that saved cap and made the team younger. And he's had a good season, it's not like he's playing bad lol.

The trade dumped 3 bad contracts, saved cap space, made the team younger, and got Erik Karlsson - and the only asset they gave up is a first round pick. That is in no way worse.
