I'd do that if I'm the Flames for sure. I know there's a lot of sentiment that Byram is untouchable, but he really is the best return the Flames could hope for in a Lindholm deal.

No way the Flyers do that, they are looking for picks. Johansen doesn't fit especially at that cap hit.

Why would the Avs trade Byram in the summer for Lindholm? That's plain nonsense. Lindholm would be a UFA they couldn't use or sign, and the return would have to be way more than that.

It's not that he's untouchable, it's that he has way too much potentia,l and even at his current level too much value, to be traded for a rental in Lindholm.

The Flames have a lot of areas to address, they would be better off taking futures for Lindholm elsewhere, rather than paying for Byram given his injury history.
