That detroit offer fell through. Assistant hated the deal unfortunately. Anaheim interested in reacquiring Getzlaf for Tyler Johnson plus

Detroit back in the running for Getzlaf and now Pysyk. Not quite sure how the offer is shaping up. They want to include dan Girardi but I really don't want that unless we get significant compensation in return. Looking at other options.

Ryan Getzlaf for Eric Staal, Erik Gudbranson and Lawson Crouse is one offer.

He discussed the possibility of Morgan Reilly for Getzlaf straight up... not sure if you're interested or not. The first Getzlaf deal is official if you approve it

I don't like Zibanejad or Petry, we already spoke about this deal. Getzlaf > Zbad for the next 3 to 5 years and Pysyk is just as good as Petry IMO at half the cost.

I approve on both of those deals.

Is there one you'd prefer over the other?

I think Morgan Reilly is a top pair young defenseman that we'd have no way to get otherwise, whereas we could put something together for Eric Staal at a later date. Gudbranson would be cheap and Crouse is very little value.

Eriksson Ek is almost untouchable imo. He needs something better than Karlsson in that deal.
