Massive overpay for Monahan. I wouldn’t give a 1st or Brzustewicz straight up for him. Lafferty is better than him straight up. Awful deal for the Canucks

My thoughts exactly, before even reading your comment. Lafferty has more value to Vancouver's bottom six than Monahan would have to their top six. There should be better options. Not that Monahan is bad, but I've said in prior posts, his value is mostly as a power play contributor, and the Canucks are just fine there..

Rumor I saw but neglected to read because I was at work, was that the Canucks may be targeting Boone Jenner, and that's a different story, Tocchet wouldn't know what to do with himself if they got him.

Jenner would be an amazing add but I doubt Columbus moves him

It would cost a pretty penny, perhaps too pretty. The Avs would have to try and outbid..
