Id rather have Kampf than Sandin. And Kemper is overpaid and doesn't move the needle in any significant way. TO says no.

Tor loses nothing in this. If they can't get Gibson or Saros, Kuemper is solid choice. He wasn't great but at least he won the cup.

Ya. They lose Kampf. A super valuable defensive specialist who is very undervalued and cost effective. Without him, TO's bottom 6 kind of falls apart. Meanwhile Kuemper does nothing for TO. He doesn't give them better goaltending then they already have. TO is essentially throwing a player away for nothing. Woll and Jones have both been giving TO as good a product as Kuemper would. He is just a cast off.

To add to my reply, Gibson doesn't help TO either. Again, overpaid and just a guy. TO could get equal goaltending from a guy who makes 1m. In fact they already are in Jones and Woll.

You might be right but for me it feels like Tor keeps repeating the same mistakes year after year. They have had that same core for years without any succeed. Now they signed Willy cos they think this is the way they will win the cup. Alone in the east they have goalies like Shesterkin, ulmark/swayman, bobrovski, vasilevski, sorokin and you think Jones/woll will be enough?
