Quoting: Naslund
I get what both of you are saying but saying easy pass is a joke. When you break down the trade in half, then you consider one is a UFA and a 36 year old year old C? Sure you can add 1 or 2 of raty, lekki, willander. Then all the sudden it’s a deal by adding one of them? The frame work for a trade “of this magnitude” is right there. But saying EASY pass is outrageous. That pits team isn’t doing anything and they’re gonna have to rebuild sooner than later.
Again, easy pass. You need to make it worth something for Pittsburgh to even consider trading away one of the greatest players of all time who at 36 is still playing at an unbelievably high rate.
Ian cole = Cap Dump
Kuzmenko = Cap Dump, turning 28 soon and has come down off his breakout year last year. That doesn't help a rebuild.
Klimovich = hasn't been anything special
Pettersson and Podkolzin = sure, some of the better prospects Vancouver has, still not the top 3.
Silovs = Again, zero value or interest to the penguins Blomqvist is the same age and having a better season, Murashov playing in the KHL/MHL at 19 and looking very solid.
"sure you can add 1 or 2 of raty, lekki, willander. Then all the sudden it's a deal by adding one of them?" uh yeah... you have to give up high value prospects if you think you're going to land Gunetzel and Crosby with retention lol.
You want to acquire a penguins Icon and one of the greatest players ever, that all has added value.
Plus Crosby wouldn't waive to go to Vancouver.
