If you're targeting Dickinson for his goal scoring, yeah, don't buy high, but teams that are buying at the deadline are buying for the gritty 3rd and 4th liners who are defensively responsible and put forth max effort on every shift, which he does regardless of whether his shooting percentage is 21% or 7.9%. I would qualify him less of a "player to avoid" and more of a "proceed with managed expectations"

I guess “players to avoid” should be “buy with caution” haha you’re right. But I’d be pissed if Dickinson keeps it up all year and then the playoffs he goes cold

Banking on a career 4th liner on a shooting heater is one of the dumbest things a GM can do. Especially when 250 players have more SOG
