I’d play Pitlick and Wheeler over Bonino at this point

Pitlick, perhaps. Wheeler is getting Top Line minutes, and still only has 4 Goals this year at 5 on 5 play. Playing with Kreider and Zibenejad has sort of hid what a detriment he has been. Once he gets moved down after they bring in a more talented option to play RW, I literally can't think of any positive role he would bring to the Bottom 6.

At least Wheeler has offensive IQ and can dish the puck out. Bonino only wins faceoffs and blocks shots because he can’t do anything else

For a 4th Line Center, I'm OK with that. Sure, you would like a little more Offense. But I think Bonino has performed more in line with the role that he was brought in for, more so than Wheeler has. People hoped Wheeler would at least give you 40 Points this Season, playing anywhere in the Top 9. He's now on the #1 Line, and still nowhere close to that expected production.

I had Wheeler for less than 40 points and a complimentary player. People shouldn’t have expected much from him

The problem is that goodrow and Bonino are the same exact played. If you play 1 of them, you need to bench the other. It’s awesome that Bonino can win faceoffs and block shots, but that usually means he’s always playing defense, can’t hold possession and can’t create offense

They're primarily a Defensive Line. Correct. That's their primary role.

If the FO beefs up the Top 9 with moves such as this to improve 5 on 5 play, I don't think people will mind as much about a Defensively sound 4th Line.

While and Goodrow and Bonino don't provide Offense, they at least fit that 4th Line structure well.

Yea but as a defensive line, you still want to chip in and play great defense, which means lower goals against and shots against. Pretty sure that 4th line gets absolutely caved in even if it’s against top lines

Vesey is legit what a 4th liner is suppose to be, if only they had more of him

Vesey has been excellent. Along with Quick and Gustafsson, they've been the biggest financial bargains for this team.

Pitlick has been fine too. Him and vesey have the lowest xGA/60. He can skate, he hits, defends well from what I’ve seen and creates a bit of offense

I think Preds prefer to keep him, but we would take a 1st for Novak. Good deal.

Chytil was posted on Instagram today by his trainer and he's working out and on his way to coming back. Plus it came out the other day that he'll be back in the states before the end of the month. I don't think the situation is as dire as Larry Brooks and Co are making it out to be. I think they're just (rightfully) acting in an abundance of caution.
