Ethan Gauthier doesn’t help this core.. unless he develops faster then Howard who is having a great world juniors and I see playing next season.

The leafs could use a decent goalie prospect as well as a stud prospect in Gauthier who could help them alot if they need to trade Marner, as well as some decent offence in B.B. Robertson helps us more now and could use a change in scenery and Jones also is a proven Veteran as our Champ core is aging and leafs window is larger then ours.

We need a defensive defender who can play with Heddy. Rutta is obviously proven, and Sheary hasn’t worked out. Sharks could use some offensive players and leadership in Sheary.

Foligno would be great with Paul and Jeanott, imagine how big that line would be in the playoffs. If we can make it…. Don’t mind giving up some picks as our window is now.

This trade isnt terrible for the leafs but i just dont see why they would do it now cause jones is legitimately the leafs lifeline

Yah they would need Samsonov to figure it out or Woll get healthy first
