I like how you resisted putting Krug and McAvoy together. I don't like Vatrano getting the nod over Beleskey to play Krejci's wing, as I'm not sure I'm thrilled with having our 3rd line return 2 of the guys that made it a disaster last year. Atleast Backes is better than Hayes, but that line looks really, really bad and likely to be dominated. In my mocks I usually put Beleskey on either line 4 or 2 with the thoughts that if he's on line 4 he can just check people as well as chip and chase. If he's on line 2 then maybe Krejci and Pasta get him going. For line 3 we got to see what he and Spooner get accomplished as a tandem last year.... and it wasn't a whole lot. Add in the plodding Backes who will make any line he's on slightly worse and that seems like a terrible combo. If you were to construct the roster the way you have it, I would just flip Bjork and Backes. The theory behind why that would work better is because Backes won't be able to bring down Bergeron and Marchand much and Bjork is a better skater and will keep up with the speedy Spooner better. Backes is also a very good defensive forward, so he'd be a better fit to match up against the other teams #1 line. I like this mock very much though so I will give you a 5.
