Isles need scoring.
Leafs need shut down defense.

Its that simple.

Isles are 2nd last in the Metro in GF with 76 - take away Wahlstrom's 2 and add Nylanders 13 and they will be at 87 - tied for the MOST in the Metro.

Pulloch and Pelech are VAST improvements defensively over Giordano/Liljegren/any of the AHLers who have played surprisingly well while Leafs D-men lick their wounds in the med bays.

Why would the leafs give up one of their best players for two inconsistent defensemen there is no point. Yes the leafs need d but they would not do this no way.

Only way islanders do this is if we get your 1st thats packaged with like Maggio or Dufour and some other small piece for Haninfin too. This leaves our left side atrocious

We have the best powerplay since the middle of November, the 6th best in the league over the whole season, brazil has 10 points in his last 4 games, and Horvat has had a 5 game point streak. As an islander fan who watches the games, I can assure you that scoring has not been a problem for the islanders but rather their lack of structure.
