The Brady deal might be an underpay, but maybe he might want out of Ottawa and that would give some leverage on trades. He doesn't have trade protection though so third team might offer more.

Brady would theoretically sign as a free agent. He will be UFA in 4,5 seasons when he’s 28 years old.

Unless it keeps going the way it’s been for the Senators…he’ll ask for a trade. They need to get into the playoffs, if not this year, then definitely next…otherwise you’re going to start to hear grumbling
