Hutson - Reinbacher
Xhekaj - Barron/Mailloux/Another Dman via trade or free agency.

So, I don't see the necessary to trade Reinbacher and Hutson for Dobson.............

What if Roy is only a 3rd liner?
What if our next 2 firsts are picked from the mushy middle?

This deal gets us young players entering their prime who are "sure thing" top line NHL'ers.

That's a lot of "ifs", The Habs are in a rebuild also. I don't see the point of never giving them a chance and saying let's give up on all these guys. I wouldn't do it.

Trading a high-celing potential prospect for a roster player isn't a good idea. We know what's the perfect example of that : Suzuki for Pacioretty.......

Unless you think the ceiling of the young roster player is as high or higher than the potential ceiling of the prospect. Dobson is 23. Barzal is 26. This is tantamount to trading the 13th OA pick for Dach or the 1st and 2nd for Newhook, only we are getting 2 much better players.

if the isles were to rebuild, there is no way dobson is getting traded. The number 1 guy they trade in the need of a rebuild is brock nelson.

Rebuilding teams typically trade away their best young players, so this might happen.
