While I wholeheartedly agree this would not be considered by Carolina for the obvious reason that Necas is doing just fine and younger, but with all due respect, the Hurricanes "got rid" of Lindholm before he even had a chance to turn into anything, and he's become one of the top two-way centers in the NHL. I'm just not sure what big negatives you're seeing, especially for a guy who's been on an under $5m per year contract..

Let’s just say, the biggest negative will be his next contract and that he won’t be worth it, much like Horvat and PLD, as those will be the comps he will use. Personally, I wish the Canes had waited a little bit longer, and at least had a chance to see him and Hanifin under Rod’s direction. If they had, I wholeheartedly believe that trade never gets made.
Augustus a aimé ceci.

Ah yes, the next contract. It's always such a hassle.. I wish he would use 8.5 as a proper comparable, but it feels like his side wants more, 9-9.5 ..

Lindy burned his bridge with the fans when he mocked the surge. That was enough for him to be booed in Raleigh even today
