Duchene to NSH or CBJ would be about the 2 most interesting possibilities.
Good attempt but Sakic says no. There's 30 guys like Duchene and he's hoping to get one of 10 super-elite defencemen as the start of a package.

Duchene only has 2 seasons left at what might be a fair value $6 million per. Might as well wait until he's a free agent at this point (he put up 18G +23A last season, his value per $ is uncertain).
Furthermore, any team with cap space and ambition should save it so they can sign Tavares as a free agent this summer.

Any team that trades should want any draft picks paid conditional on Duchene signing an extension, because there is 0% chance Duchene will sign an extension in COL beforehand.

Not sure Tavares would be interested in NSH, but Duchene wants to be here. He's said a couple times how much he enjoys Nashville, so I think he could sign an extension if Sakic made the deal.
