Date de création initiale: 14 nov. 2023
Publié: 14 nov. 2023

Description
Tanev is just a better Brodie so upgrade. Zadorov and Borgen add physical players we need.
Klingberg fits in SEA because he played his best hockey with Oleksiak before and they can get him retained to add a bit more cap room for SEA if wanted.
Room for Liljegren to come back cap wise and rest Giordano.

Leafs decline flames Brodie isn’t going anywhere and certainly none of those picks are getting attached maybe maybe our 2027 second but that’s max tanev isn’t enough of an upgrade over Brodie to justify spending a first on zadorov

Not only is Brodie bad offensively he is the anti offense, how do you play on a top pair and NEVER get points? Watch care fully when the puck is in the offensive zone, every time Brodie touches the puck it is a disaster. He is soft in defensive zone and in front of net always has been. Tanev is a much better option then Brodie , if you were not biased you would understand. Ask CGY fans that still like Brodie because he played there who is better of the 2!

Liligren had 100 hits in 67 games the season before 87hits in 61 games.

Borgen had more sure but played a full season and thats his only strong point. Hes nothing special.

If Liligren played the whole season probs would have had 13-150 hits

So hes a pretty physical guy when he has to be.

In general Borgen aint what we need. Already got a guy like him in Liligren

Better to spend assets elsewhere

Thats why you pair him with an offensive minded Dman duh

Like how is simple logic escaping you rn

When you got a guy with no offense but all defense you pair him with an all offense and no defense type of guy

This happens throughout the league

Dunn-Larsson

Chabot-Zub

McNabb-Theodore

etc

Brodie has been one of Rielly's best partners. Whats best for Toronto is to keep him and add Tanev

Rielly-Brodie
McCabe-Tanev
Zadorov-Liligren

Gio extra to rest for playoffs.

Duh stupid Brodie has played with Rielly for years and has NEVER gotten more then 18 points , that is complete trash , look up the non offense players stats you used as example , Larsson had 33 points last year compared to 18 from Brodie , that is almost double plus Larsson had over 200 hits so um bad comparison!

Thats not what hes meant for facepalm

Brodie is a defensive Dman. His role is keeping the backend stable and thats what he has done

Who cares if he doesnt put up points

THATS NOT HIS JOB

You dont ask a defensive Dman to put up points thats what offensive or 2-way Dman are for.

Like you think VGK is pissed McNabb barely puts up points no, do you think WSH gets upset when Jensen barely put up points no

They sign these guys for the defense its quite simple

Brodie had the second best defensive stats since they were being looked at so who cares about the points. Defense is what matters.

You really are stupid.
Just have no brains what so ever.
Every defense you mentioned makes less money then Brodie and had more points and plays a WAY more physical style yet you defend Brodie still like a moron.
Go away you stupid confused fan.

Jensen makes 1m less thats really nothing special lets look at more expensive Dman if your so set on that

Cernak makes 5.2m do you think TBL cares hes not putting up points no

Same with NSH and McDonagh

The point your missing defensive Dman are not there to put up the points. They are there to provide defensive structure. Making less or more does not take away from anything they do defensively lul.
