I'd actually have been super-happy to bring DSP back to Montreal, even if it meant a little more money. Really good Bottom 6 signing for the Caps.

He's no Marcus Johansson, but getting DSP for this cheap is a good way to plug up that 4LW spot.

I thought this guy showed flashes on Ducks and Devils... HE was tough for Kings in the Post Season so maybe he can get his game together... Hard to not like this deal for the cost, also don't think he has to clear waivers if gets sent down?

He does have to clear, actually. 2-way contracts do not make the player waiver exempt; all they do is pay the player less in the AHL.

He does have to clear, actually. 2-way contracts do not make the player waiver exempt; all they do is pay the player less in the AHL.


Thanks it gets a little confusing since the ELC waiver exempt contracts are in green coloring/text just like the two-ways. I see they have icon for waiver exempt so wasn't sure what the difference was etc.
