This doesn't fit Canucks Cap needs to retain on Martinez to make it cap in and out equal. Honestly you are either paying to send out Martinez to a bottom team as a cap dump, you're retaining heavily on him for value (I don't know why you would do this as Vegas), or you're swapping him on a cap neutral move probably 1 for 1 to switch for different teams needs.

Why would the Knights do this. Martinez brings more value to them, compared to Beauvillier. He played very good in the playoffs, specifically against McDavid.

Vegas has multiple young NHL calibre D in the AHL, so they need to create a roster spot for them, and a need for a 3rd line winger. As for playoffs and a matchup vs McDavid, Vegas's forward duos, especially Karlsson-Smith and Eichel - Barbashev were much more impactful on that matchup.

Ya Eichel line killed it. Not sure why our coach didn't match our lines better. When we played Foegele-McCloud-Ryan against Eichel's line, they outperformed them.
