If buffalo continues to lose, I don’t think Kane will want to join

Kane wants a cup contender, And even with Kane Buffalo isn't winning no cup this season.

Giving away Olofsson is dumb
Especially dumb since you’re replacing him with the same type player- an offensive forward who doesn’t play defense
Makes no sense

Kane is the better player. Olofsson needs a change of scenery.
He is on an expiring contract and currently has little to no value. He had a terrible preseason and did nothing against the Rangers and Islanders.
Buffalo just added 2 defencemen. If they need to address the defense further they have enough cap space to do that.

Buffalo is making Olofsson a healthy scratch for tonights game. Kane is a good enough upgrade over a player who no longer fits and clearly needs a change.
They would still have enough cap space to acquire either another d-man or a forward who can play a two way game.

And if they got Kane,
where in the lineup is this new 2way forward gonna play???

They might have to trade someone like Jost or Greenway to make space. I think Benson will be sent back to juniors soon.
If they added a 2 way forward he will likely play on the third line.

I don't think they need to add a 2 way forward. I think Kane is a good enough forward addition. someone else had the idea of also getting a 2 way forward.
I think they need to either improve the goaltending or add another d-man.

We certainly still have work to do,
the team is far from a finished product
