Provorov isn’t one of the defensemen they are trying to move. It’s one of the bottem 2 defensemen. You’d be looking at Bean or peeke not provorov

Your inclination after hearing the report CBJ wanted to move a D was to think they want to move.....the one on the weaker side that they actually went out to acquire a few months ago?
I wasn't a big fan of them getting Provorov when it happened, but to even suggest they'd move him this soon make absolutely no sense. They got him to have short term 2LD while they waited for Svozil/Meteychuck. The only 3 D that they'd be looking to trade are Boqvist/Peeke to make room for Jiricek soon, or Bean cause he's only marginally better than another 3LD option and is gone after this eyar regardless.

I understand this, you are right that Provorov is not what CBJ is wanting to move. My thinking was more about fit and I just don't think that Provorov is a good fit in CBJ. Not sure he would be a good fit in AZ but AZ is trying to play a hard nosed game where as CBJ appear to be going for a skill and pace game.
