It'll certainly sting if they can't come away with a younger NHL guy but at this point I'm not sure who they could've gotten outside of Mittelstadt, at least in terms of people clearly being available. Think the same has to go for Lindgren, not many teams are in need of goaltenders and with the Devils seemingly selling it only really leaves Edmonton in the market for a goalie. I'm surprised the market has fallen the way it has but I'll wait until the deadline is over to fully say anything.

I just think you need to have something for the fans to be excited about and 2nds and 3rds aren't that. Sandin last year honestly was a huge reason to keep watching games even when they were losing and losing bad. You need something like that or at least another first for fans to get excited about. I hope for that reason that they keep Lappierre and Miro up as long as possible

He deserved it even without the wins. Always annoys me that they couldn't get him that 49th one to hold the record, I think it really decreases his chances of making the HHOF by not sharing it with Brodeur.

Don't want to say too much but the combined effect of taking the worst skater in the league off the roster and the bottom of the east all stinking makes it I think more likely than not for the first time this year.

Just means they have the option to go >5 games, doesn't mean it will definitely happen.

Wilson has been one of the biggest disappointments to me this year, consistently taking horrible penalties, not scoring enough, and his underlyings aren't great

Trouba only had a phone hearing - IDK I am probably being bias but Trouba's slash was so absurd

Feels like Alexeyev has been sneaky good this year. I like what he's done with the puck in the offensive zone especially. Do the Caps just run Fehervary-Sandin-Alexeyev down the left side next year?

AA has been not bad to me but he I don't think he looks like anything more than a 6/7. Don't really care if its on the right or left side, but we need to bring in a real top 4 guy this summer IMO
