Meh, Veleno is pretty much a bust. There's nothing wrong I guess in seeing what he may be able to do here, but personally I wouldn't give up anything more than a 4th.

My guess is, if he doesn't make an impact this year for DET they won't qualify him and he'll be a FA you can get without giving up futures.

Veleno got good speed and can hit people, but he lack defensive awarness and cant win faceoffs. He is 23 and maybe PIT can turn him around, but they need to identify what type of player he is. Problem with Veleno in Detroit is that he havent decided himself what type of player he want to be.

Veleno is good defensively and he's speedy. He's crap at centre and works best as a bottom-6 LW.

Good to know. In that case he would probably compete for the 4th line left wing with Nieto and such. Acciari would then play center and then one of the PTO's (white, Wagner) or someone already signed (Pitlick, Hinotroza, etc.)
