In my opinion, adding Kane will stunt Raymond and Berggren growth. I see Raymond as the playmaker on PP1 and playing with Larkin on the first line, that role will Kane have if he signs. Kane and Berggren are similair in the sense they are playmakers and doesnt add any defensive play. I think Detroit should add players that can complement Berggren and Raymond instead of blocking them. Its a contract-year for both of them so I understand why Yzerman would do though

Good chance Jonatan Berggren is either a healthy scratch or starts in the AHL anyways. Raymond could be traded if Kane signs cus he definitely didn't earn a spot with his play last season. I could see both playing in Grand Rapids or being part of a trade. Lots of depth so anything could happen.

I don't understand people putting Jonatan Berggren in the top six when Michael Rasmussen was clearly better than him. As of right now he's not going to be in the top nine and he's not a fourth line type of player. If Fabbri plays Jonatan Berggren will be on the fourth line or sent to the AHL.

Also Raymond won't be on the top powerplay
