Description
This is Corey Pronman's NHL Pipeline Ranking for the Sharks (left) vs Mine (right)

Honestly I don't think Corey knows anything about any of these players. He's referencing scouting reports and stats that are years old. Like Gushchin is listed at 5' 8" - 165 lbs when hes actually 5'10" - 180 lbs. I think he generally undervalues a ton of these players. Eklund being "Bubble top and middle of the lineup" is pretty far off imo. Also Tristan Robins being a longshot NHL player even though he literally got called up due to how well he was playing in the AHL last year makes no sense. And he has the Sharks 7th rounder from the LAST DRAFT as the 13th best prospect lol. I actually really like that pick but there's no way you can say they're a top prospect until at least a year after their draft year, especially a guy playing in the Russian Junior league
RONDE 1ÉQUIPEORIGINALJOUEURDéTAILS
1Logo de Blackhawks de Chicago-1. Will Smith - This is easy
2Logo de Ducks d'Anaheim-
William Eklund
2. William Eklund - Another Easy one although Corey has him projected as middle of lineup which I think is far off
3Logo de Blue Jackets de Columbus-
Shakir Mukhamadullin
3. Shakir Mukhamadullin - I Agree here as well, extremely underrated prospect - High floor with fairly high ceiling
4Logo de Sharks de San Jose-
Filip Bystedt
4. Quentin Musty - First spot I disagree with - I think Musty could be a legit superstar - extremely skilled, amazing shot, and big
5Logo de Canadiens de Montréal-5. Thomas Bordeleau - For whatever reason media and the fanbase soured on Bordsdespite being an AHL allstar - Still very smart playerwith extremely good hands and edges and a vastly improving shot
6Logo de Coyotes de l'Arizona-
Thomas Bordeleau
6. Daniil Gushchin - Probably the most impressive player growth I've seen over one season. Extremely skilled, great skater, and INSANE shot
7Logo de Flyers de Philadelphie-
Cameron Lund
7. Henry Thrun -Didn't look out of place in the NHL at all and has a fantastic skill set and looks to be very defensively responsible
8Logo de Capitals de Washington-
Henry Thrun
8. Filip Bystedt - I like Bystedt a lot but I don't see his ceiling being any higher than Danault - I think he gets a bit overrated but still a steal at 27 ovr
9Logo de Red Wings de Detroit-9. Mattias Havalid - He could be a truly talented top pairing d-man but injuries have set him back a bit
10Logo de Blues de St-Louis-
Mattias Havelid
10. Tristen Robins - Corey had him in the "has a chance to play" section. Meanwhile he had a fantastic season in the AHL and literally played a handful of NHL games.
11Logo de Canucks de Vancouver-
Luca Cagnoni (+112 )
11. Luca Cagnoni - Could be a huge steal. Small but strong, really offensively gifted and has room for improvement defensively. projected to go around mid-to-late 2nd round and dropped to the 4th
12Logo de Coyotes de l'ArizonaLogo de Sénateurs d'Ottawa
Daniil Gushchin
12. Kasper Halttunen - This is where I trust the scouts Because I don't know much about him but a lot of people say that he could really break out and become a steal from this draft
13Logo de Sabres de Buffalo-13. Ethan Cardwell - Had a great year in Juniors. may not have a high ceiling but by all accounts is an absolute workhorse and a leader. I could definitely see him being a Barclay Goodrow type player
14Logo de Penguins de Pittsburgh-
15Logo de Predators de Nashville-
16Logo de Flames de Calgary-
17Logo de Red Wings de DetroitLogo de Islanders de New York
18Logo de Jets de Winnipeg-
19Logo de Blackhawks de ChicagoLogo de Lightning de Tampa Bay
20Logo de Kraken de Seattle-
21Logo de Wild du Minnesota-
22Logo de Flyers de PhiladelphieLogo de Kings de Los Angeles
23Logo de Rangers de New York-

Bordeleau feels like a similar media narrative to Lapierre, where both had brief NHL stints but despite both having decent AHL seasons the next year, the prospect experts decide that they've somehow had some large fall from grace. Feels like impatience from people.

I think you have to add Laroque and Fisher. Both had injury marred seasons but both have shown a TON of upside and I feel at least 1 will become a legit NHL top 4 D

Weisblatt and Coe both should factor in more next season, they both have upside but look like depth NHL if they can take another step or two.
