This looks pretty realistic to me. I'll be curious to see who wins spots on certain lines and pairings once camp is done. Also, Pearson to the minors opens up enough space to run a 22-man roster, but if he earns a spot out of camp then they likely keep him up and do the Abby shuffle for extras.

Personally I really hope that both Pod and Hirose force their way on. It would go a long way to making the overall roster competitive if guys like that show well.

I agree with you. Teams don’t normally send vets down to the minors and given the comments by Hughes last year, the players may think that the team screwed Pearson again.

I didn’t see a way to keep Podz with Pearson on the roster. There will likely be some injuries during the preseason or a trade. Beauvilier seems like the best candidate to move.

I debated about Hirose and Wolanin. I prefer Hirose, but I think they will go with the veteran.
