He isn't worth Lindholm and a 1st either. Especially when trading Lindholm would mean we don't have a 1st line center or a hope in hell Nylander would extend with us.

Columbus doesn’t need to add anything. They don’t need Lindholm, that ship has sailed. Columbus would pass on this trade regardless. It does have some creativity but still an overpayment for a rental.

Funny you'd say that when everyone knows Columbus doesn't have a 1st line center for next year. Doesn't really matter though since Lindholm is not being shopped.

No doubt Columbus would balk at retaining on Nylander though.

In this case, with the trade above and replies ask to add, the trade from Columbus is:
2024 1st
Adam Boqvist
20% retention on Nylander
AND either Johnson, Mateychuk, or Sillinger

Columbus Receives:
Lindholm for 1 year

Not even close to being worth it.

Jenner is fine as the 1C for one more year if need be. The jackets center depth is now Jenner (1C), Fantilli (2/3C), Voronkov (3/2C), Kuraly (4C). And that doesn't take into account Sillinger as a potential 3/2C.
