From the outside looking in with zero insider knowledge...he's not happy that Drury keeps giving him the shaft with playing time and he's looking for (what anyone outside of the NYR would deem) a reasonable salary increase, but the NYR don't have enough money to do it. So Drury is now playing hard ball with the contract just like he's been playing games with his career via limited playing time.

His production continues to grow and nearly all his points are 5x5. I'm hopping Laviolette will roll four lines and get everyone the opportunity they deserve. Laffy knows the payday will be in a year or two as the cap get back in line with revenues.
