To NJ : Ullmark no retention

I think the retention isn't as big a deal as you're making it seem, but I digress. Let's say we remove retention. How do you make the cap work? If Calgary is selling their UFAs, they'll be the ones with the cap space.

Calgary shouldn’t be the one worrying about New Jersey’s cap. Haula can be trade to make the cap work or something like that

Haula has an NMC, so does Palat. Nobody else with a large cap hit is expendable except maybe Vanecek.

If your sticking point is the retention that's fine, but I really don't think it's that big a deal if Calgary is rebuilding.
