it doesnt matter, they are contending, and adding more cap by trading for willy, it make 0 sense for them to retain. maybe get a 3rd party team involved to take on cap for a 3rd or something, but still i dont think the leafs should take this trade. im not sold on wright

There is zero evidence that that is true. Wright simply wasn't ready for the NHL last season, and with the Kraken enjoying unexpected success, other players played ahead of him because they were better options at the time. This year, he has a prime opportunity to stake his claim to a spot in the opening night lineup. Make no mistake, Wright is still a big part of Francis, Hakstol, and the Kraken's future plans.
