You're too far gone. If you really think JGP is that good of a player idk how to help you. He had 3 5-on-5 goals last year... You didn't build a forward group for the Bruins with this trade in place. It makes no sense for them.

A low end 2C is a 3C on a playoff team.

Pageau’s analytics vary year to year - he’s pretty inconsistent with everything besides faceoffs. If you combine analytics and rate numbers in terms of production, he’s a slightly above average 3C. He produces closer to a 4th liner than a top 6er at 5v5. Good player, someone I’d like to have on my team for 2-5-3 mill per, but he’s not someone you want to have in your top 6 unless you’re tanking

I don't think they should trade him at all. If they did I'd be more okay with him going for Scheifele because he's a true number 1 center. I wouldn't want Backlund at all because he's a low-end 2C at best. IMO the only way DeBrusk gets traded is if he's packaged for Lindholm, Scheifele, or another center of that caliber.

You are absolutely correct! Unfortunately, every other Bruin fan who posted before me made very many points as to why DeBrusk for Pageau in any form doesn’t work for Boston so I didn’t want to jump on the bandwagon. They also made many points on the similarities with Coyle so again, I wasn’t going to add to that to make you feel you were being ganged up on. And there’s nothing wrong with you debating and discussing but when you get as much resistance as you received from multiple participants from different fan bases, there comes a time to either give up or laugh about it. I was hoping to spur on the latter. I was also wondering if we could get to a fourth page of reply posts.
