Trade Mantha for a player just as bad as Mantha? Add in Kuzy?? Only get Garland as well??? Yeah, no thanks.

Boeser is better than Mantha. Garland is an okay middle 6 piece. Kuzy isn’t getting much value in return. This trade is a win win for both teams. 4 guys who need a change of scenery get moved.

Not to mention it opens up a center position for McMichael and it also opens up some cap to ice a full roster.

Do you remember the last "Change of scenery" trade the Caps did? Yeah, you're trying to trade the guy we mind blowingly overpaid for, hoping that a change of scenery would be good for him. Lol.

I mean we can undo the trade here and then sit with a 21 man roster including two guys that probably need to be traded. Don’t know what else you think would be better.

Well...first of all GMBM needs to be fired. He inherited an amazing team from McPhee and got lucky to win a cup. Since then, he has done NOTHING to help this team. I understand that there are many complications to roster building and some "moves" are unavoidable, but let's review a few transactions since the cup....
1. Stephenson - Gone
2. Vrana/Mantha - I literally cried
3. Not trading Kuzy while he still had value
4. Not ONE big name signing
5. Trading Orlov - I get it, but YUCK

These are just a few examples of the top of my head. There are plenty more.

Caps need to start by getting rid of GMBM. After that, who knows? Let Ovi ride off into the sunset about 2-3 Cups short of what he should have had and hope to get another generational talent in the lottery
