I don’t think it’s possible for a fair trade for mcdavid. Anything worthwhile for Edmonton the other team would decline as it’d have to be such a massive overpay.

Even if Broberg/Ryan weren’t included I think Edmonton still says no. Fox is elite but that d core would take up so much money, kakko hasn’t proven he can be a top 6 centre. It would also assume Edmonton could move Campbell which would cost significant assets

Holy crap this makes both teams so much worse. Lets take the one big strength of NYR (Goalie) and trade it for the one big strength of EDM (McJesus). What do we get? Edmonton now struggles to support Shesty and New York struggles to support McJesus. Everyone's miserable.

I would say no as a Rangers fan. You lose your best goalie and defenseman for McDavid and two depth players. Plus a first. Dumba would not be a good fit either. I wouldn't want this to go through at all.

Without Fox, the Rangers defense would be below average and with no Igor that would just lead to a disaster. They'd lose every game 6-5
