trading away a young bright D is not advised when your Dcore is apparently your achilles heel.

you coming from Detroit fan standpoint or just commenting from afar?

My logic was a vet D to help with Detroits young core (and hes only a 1 year commitment)

Wings fan and we already have several vets in Charoit, Ghost and Maatta to help school the vets. Also if we trade 2nd round picks it will be for a better player than Brodie.

No problem. If this was before the draft or FA, I could have seen Yzerman maybe trading for Brodie, probably not a 2nd but after all his wheeling and dealing I think he is done
