With the right situation, he is for sure. He gets bottom pairing time, if he gets at least top 4 minutes I'd say its a good contract.

branstrom still has high upside. retention makes the deal cap neutral. beauvillier is what he is at this point, a 15-20 goal 30-40 point winger.

imo this is fair. if either player doesnt work out for their new teams, its only one year

imo give him a year in the AHL to play #1 minutes. better for long term development than playing beside hamonic on the 3rd pair. jones is a stop gap

brannstrom was v good last year. good mobility good passing. not the best at defenbding on the rush but in bottom 4 minutes he can transition the puck really well. definitly worth 2 million.

beavillier probably overpaid considering he plays a secondary role on the Canucks and scores at a sub 0.5 points per game pace. i think he is a good middle six player but middle six player at 4 million are not good value. alternatively, middle 6er at 2 million is excellent value
