Need to cut money somewhere. Can't even call anyone up if there is an injury without LTIR.

It's a 21 man roster so we already have someone called up. Only issue would be if two players get hurt then we'd either need to use LTIR or make a roster change

Very true, but honestly given Edmonton's cap situation it'll be near impossible for them do to this if they plan on keeping McLeod and Bouch which I know they do. The top guys on Edm have mentioned they want Foegele to stay, and he's the only guy they could realistically move to make up cap space

It happens no doubt. I happened to PIT under Rutherford and Shero at points in the seasons and then they had short benches that likely cost them points in the season standings. I just wouldn't recommend it. EDM is strong enough to overcome it, but the WC is weaker than the EC too. If I were a borderline team like PIT in the EC I would not risk it.

I definitely think this will be the Oilers roster next season. Unfortunately no upgrades on D and no money to do anything at the deadline as well

Yeah I would've loved us to add a few more top end players but given our cap situation this'll most likely be the best it gets. At least we added a top 6 RW for super cheap 🤷‍♂️
