If Robertson was enough to move Murray, Murray wouldn't still be a Leaf. Robertson has nowhere near that sort of value.

Robertson has no value and can't stay healthy. Hawks have 4 goalies under contract and don't need a 5th. Murray makes $6M in real cash that can't be bought out.

Blackhawks are trying to get minutes to Soderblom; he can be their #1 in goal by next year, so, no, adding Murray does not do anything for them.

Getting a good prospect to take on that salary might be enticing . . . Davidson has been much more keen on getting draft picks, though. I think it would have happened already at this year's draft. A big problem is his injury history, though, as klassic points out. Also, despite his talent, he's also another 5'9 prospect who would be joining a prospect pool that is increasingly looking much smaller than they would like. Toronto's 2024 First might make it happen, though.
