Sweeney did a good job in FA. Geekie is a sneaky good signing and can be a solid 3C if Bergeron doesn’t return. JVR was a great value deal too.

Bringing back Frederic and Swayman was huge.

I like bringing back Lucic too, but not sure what he has left. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

I was mostly thinking about Forbort and Brown on the NHL team. It's why I said hopefully not, but the rest should work.

In a lot of my other posts, I have them trading Forbort but honestly, at this point you need him as that PK shut down guy like he was all year.

As far as Brown, he only has a one way contract so he’ll be up. Not sure he’ll play every game but after watching some of his highlights, he’s a bigger body who can fight and plays the Pk pretty good.

The most important situation is EV/5v5. Put the best players at 5v5 and then place the players on PP/PK units. Forbort is a liability at 5v5 and Bruins have enough D to play on the PK. Forbort will be 32 and has no future with the Bruins. Between Zboril, Mitchell, Walsh, etc., they have more interesting options and guys who not only deserve an opportunity, but could also be here beyond the 2023-24 season.

One-way contracts do not necessarily determine in which league the player will plays. Sure, most players on one-way contracts are in the NHL, but not always (see Oskar Steen last season). I do think they see Brown being up. As I said, I hope not since he's a fringe NHLer with no upside and it could lead to blocking another young player (with NHL potential). Just like Forbort, they will have enough players to play on the PK and don't need Brown for it.
