Leafs don’t have the cap currently to sign Domi - he likely gets between $4m - $5m with term. They’d have to move some salary off the roster and they don’t really have anyone to do that. They also can’t really sign guys to too much term with high cap hits until they know what’s for sure going on with Matthews and Nylander, and even next off-season with Marner. They’re strapped until the cap rises.

They made the wrong signing in Bertuzzi, shoulda prioritized a 2C over him and moved Tavares to the wing.
