I don't know much about Fairbrother so maybe he's ready to contribute immedately, but would prefer COL to get either at least a bottom 6 guy with the picks. Losing Newy just opens another hole that needs to be filled this offseason.

Will be interesting to see what they do. Looks like Fairbrother is probably an AHL D for us. And 2 pieces to either restock the prospect pool or trade for assets. Wouldn't be surprised to see JTC come back at 3C now.

What a haul for Colorado. The draft picks are much preferred than banking on Newhook hitting. This gives the Avs a lot of opportunities that they previously didn’t have.

Edit: Having 3 Top 40 picks is nice, very nice.
