Boeser had little value when VAN had no cap space. They're not desperate anymore after the OEL buyout, and Boeser is now valued back at the 50-60 point player he is on a down year. Hoglander is an exciting young winger that any team would and should be interested in, plus a pick. Might not be enough to get a deal done but the value isn't as far off as you might think.

Boeser doesn’t go from can’t give him away to a first rounder bc of their cap situation. Maybe a mid pick, if he was worth anything more there would at least be some noise around moving him.
