Obviously you are a flyers fan. What is the flyers looking for in return for konecny.

I mean girard is in his prime and a friendly deal.
Olausson was a first rd pick that will help a rebuild.
Then you got a 1st and 3rd.

You can say it's terrible but don't be surprised if something like this or similar happens.

I mean the avs traded for Johansen and had 50% retained only for galchenyuk.

I'm not specifically saying flyers are gonna trade to the avs but don't be surprised at the deal.

The deal is awful. The flyers have no use for 25 year lord Girard in a rebuild when they want to let their kids play on defense. If TK is being traded because he doesn’t fit the rebuild timeline how does Girard fit at the same age? So if you take him out of the deal then a good prospect and a late 1st ain’t good enough to get TK

Just cause there same age don't mean nothing. Look at chychrun from the yotes. Him and keller were solid foundation but chychrun wanted out. There's rumors keller might want out to.

But if you were going to trade TK to the avs. Who would you trade for.

Nobody that’s the point u don’t have enough to trade for Tk because anyone u we would want you wouldn’t want to give up anyway. Guys like Newhook and 1sts would be the starting point

I would trade newhook and a 1st for TK if an extension was in place and some salary retained.

The value of the trade is not terrible or awful in any way. However, the fit is not there (mainly Girard being the big piece) with the Flyers to make the trade. So i agree with GMDanny here, Flyers decline. So does the the Avs probably. I think the 2C solution made it pretty clear that GMCM wants to keep the D-corps intact.

If you think a 25 year old top 4 LHD is too old for a rebuild your totally wrong. .

If he isn’t too old then why is Tk being shopped at the same age?

1. Newhook and a 1st would be just the start of the package 2. I don’t even think TK can sign an extension 2 years out 3. The Flyers literally can’t retain on him as they likely are going to have to use all of their retention slots on Hayes, DeAngelo, and Krug
