Whoops it didn't edit. Its not supposed to be a rebuild. Its just Vancouver being typical. I'm curious to know, do you think the trades are 1 sided to van or to the other teams?

Boesser and Garland will not bring us first round picks in todays market.Meyers would bring us a pick with No retention at the deadline.Just my opinios.

Ok good to know, makes sense. Values are hard to judge. I know there was rumours of Boeser price being very cheap, but for a player that puts up nearly 60 points a season, I kinda think he should be worth a first. Yes tho, he hasn't been amazing on van.

Devils would hard pass on that... They shouldn't be paying a premium to a guy not playing his best hockey...which is why VAN would want to deal him. Devils could do more with the asset and the cap space.

Yeah I've heard that alot. I valued Boeser so high just because the dude puts up nearly 60 points a season, so I figured a first would suffice. But yes, I know he was rumoured to have a low price at TDL this past season.

I agree he had an off year on and off the ice, and a first is an overpay but Brock had 60 points which would have made him the fifth highest scorer on your team last year, imagine a freshly motivated Brock on Hughes wing.Just saying

My god that Garland trade is horrible for Washington. Insiders are on record saying that Vancouver will have to ADD an asset to Garland to trade him and you doubled down on that by trying to trade him for a future 1st from a team that is drafting from a Lottery position this season. That’s just stupidly optimistic, Garland isnt worth anywhere near that and likely not a 1st from any team.

But a team shouldn't pay a premium price for an off-year. You are buying the risk.

No one will give up a first for garland. Wouldn’t be surprised if he has to be dumped

Its a big risk for sure, but being younger player like him, you gotta expect him to have a monster season.

K I'll agree he's not worth a 1st, I over shot on that one i'll admit. But explain to me how this guy is even remotely close to being a cap dump. He's had back to back 50 point seasons and he's on a ****ty team.

But it isn't Boeser or nothing. And really in the end, the Devils need more of a guy that could be a 3C if Haula ends up with Hughes again. For whatever reason...it works.
