Description
3 way trade between MIN, FLA, and NYR

NYR-
gets 3rd pairing defender, promising youngster with upside, and low value pick.
FLA - Gets a legitimate top four defender that can replace Staal and solidify top four. They also trade Denisenko who could be a flight risk back to Russia.
MIN - gets a high pick to absorb salary, and a decent 3rd/4th line player who is admittedly overpaid

Rangers use Goodrow and Lindgren money to extend K’Andre Miller long term, which could backfire and become a buyout or be a genius move

Ok what are you paying him on his next contract? 4.5 for 4 or 5 for 6? Lindgren is a great player if cheap but we’ve seen this with Girardi and Staal who play very physical games and are undersized. They break down very quickly and that kills the cap. Lindgrens value is not going to be any higher than it is now and you are going to have Miller, Fox, and Trouba making a lot of money. Someone is going to be out on the D core.

I agree, he's a cap casualty this or next year, but for a good elc & pick return not a 5th!
