Because the fanbase will put him in the lineup and expect him to be better than Laffy and Kakko were, then years later say “man we should of started othmann in the AHL and not ruin his development”

thats your opinion... if he impresses at camp why wouldn't he be considered an option? I am not saying throw him in the top 6. He's an affordable option with the rangers cap predicament. It is not a fact that he's not NHL ready. He was close to making the roster last year.

Yea if he earns the spot, then he earns the spot. But you’re right, my opinion is that he could develop more with top line playing time in the AHL

Chytil makes too much money to have a 39.0 faceoff percentage. 5 of his 22 goals were ENG's. Only 2 of his goals were "dirty". You cant skate coast to coast and take a sweeping shot in the playoffs.

Plus look at his goofy face. Look in Mark Stone's eyes or Matty Tkcachuk- do you see that in Chytil? Unless he earns the 2nd line center position, he needs to go.
