8 year extension with what AAV?

Regardless - I’m not sure the Canes want to turn Pesce into a late 1st, a defensive prospect, and a 4th line grinder we’ve already cycled through.

I'm sure the Hurricanes want to package Pesce for better defensemen or scorer instead of the package that they've done

Rumour was that Rob the Bod was a fan of Foegele but totally fair that CAR may want to use Pesce to trade for higher scoring forward rather than a prospect and pick. Based the trade off the EDM Ekholm deal.

You mean Jack Woodpecker couldn’t figure out how to use Foegele? You give Pesce 7.5, with Bouchard coming, Nurse eating 9.25 + Ekholm with 6…some future pain coming with that much on D with McDavid and Leon eating at the top.

Its rich but not overly concerning for me, EDM can shed cap by dealing Ceci, Kulak and Campbell.
Having your top 4 D locked up and set in stone would be spectacular.
